這樣一個樂隊是如何被打造出來的?日前,記者和“墨甲”樂隊首席科學家、清華美院信息藝術設計系副教授米海鵬聊了聊。

“墨甲”樂隊首席科學家、清華美院信息藝術設計系副教授米海鵬告訴記者,這些機器人的演奏機制和人類演奏是一模一樣的。

Mi haipeng, the lead scientist of the band and an associate professor of information art design at tsinghua academy of fine arts, told reporters that the robot's playing mechanism was identical to that of humans.

“比如說,演奏竹笛的機器人就是通過吹氣、手指按壓笛孔發聲。和人類演奏不同的是,一般橫笛的笛孔是在人類嘴部下方,但是機器人嘴的位置沒法通過這種方式出氣。所以我們做了改造,把進氣的裝置橫過來放在了笛子的一側,從一側進氣模擬人嘴的功能。”

The band was a rock robot band with three robots playing rock music. But I personally prefer Chinese traditional culture and traditional music. 2018年,條件成熟了,米海鵬以清華大學師生及畢業生為主組建起了一支7人的隊伍。其中,有人物雕塑的專家,有古典音樂的大拿,還包括機器人科技研究人員。米海鵬告訴記者,整個團隊平均年齡還不到30歲。

在項目啟動一年多以后,這些難題相繼被攻克。2019年4月,在清華大學108年校慶之際,第一版“墨甲”樂隊亮相演出,以一種類似實驗戲劇的形式首次演奏了中國風曲目。

談及“墨甲”樂隊的未來,米海鵬告訴記者,現在三個機器人樂手的名字是玉衡、瑤光和開陽,其實是北斗七星中三顆星的名字。“其實在第一次演出之后就有人來問,另外四顆星什么時候亮相。我們也有這樣的計劃。也許未來會陸續跟大家見面。”
